I Am poem

Before the world was formed, I AM
Before the earth and sky were two different entities, I AM
Before the waves knew how to move and the sea knew which way to travel, I AM
Before I spoke "Let there be light' and formed you from the dust, I AM

I AM alpha and omega, the first and the last
I created the stars and the heavens
I formed you in your mother's womb
I am, I AM

I was there when you took your first steps,
I was there the first time you fell off your bike.
I love you and created you the way you were meant to be.
I think you are beautiful, and if the God of the Universe thinks that, who else's opinion matters?
I am, I AM

Whose heart broke when you turned away from the path I placed for you?
Who reached out to help you up when you fell?
Why did you push me away?
Why have you blamed me for what others have done to you?
I am, I AM

My heart broke when you tried to end the life I created,
My heart broke when you carved scars in my beautiful creation,
You are my most precious masterpiece,
Yet you push me away and say that you are worthless
I WOULD NOT HAVE CREATED YOU IF I DID NOT THINK YOU WERE WERE PRECIOUS!

I am, THE I AM
